The Medford School District will make up-to-date information available in coming days as we prepare for the threat of a Feb. 6 strike by the teachers union. Much of it will be posted on the districtís website at

Breaking news and informational pieces will also be posted on Facebook (like us at Medford School District 549C) and on Twitter (@MSD549C).

Schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 6; Friday, Feb. 7; and Monday, Feb. 10 in the event of a strike. They will reopen at specific sites on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The district will have more information on school sites, schedules and busing in coming days.

Employees will be staffing phone lines from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays to answer questions from parents and other community members. Assistance will be available for Spanish speakers.
The hotline numbers are 541-842-1084, 541-842-1085, and 541-842-1086.

We will also be sending out email and telephone blasts to ensure that parents receive timely information.
