MSDEC ANNEX RENOVATION – HVAC PHASE 2
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be accepted by the Medford School District 549C at the Facilities Office located at 2801 Merriman Road, Medford, Oregon 97501 until 2:00 p.m., PST, on Tuesday, January 26, 2012, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be clearly marked with “INVITATION TO BID #11-034” and must be received at above prior to 2:00 pm in order to be accepted.
An Optional Pre-Bid conference will be held at MSDEC Annex located at 905 Whitman Ave., Medford, OR 97501 on January 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. PST.
Description: The Medford School District is seeking bids for MSDEC Annex Renovation – HVAC Phase 2. The work scope under this contract is to furnish and install a HVAC system as shown and specified, including zone thermostat controls, startup, and checkout for a fully functional system per design parameters.
The existing dust collection system will be reused. The Contractor must provide a new air distribution system and must provide and install a new exhaust fan per schedule. The drawings and work scope are not intended to be comprehensive of all work to be done. Specifications, drawings, and work scope must be used in their entirety to develop full understanding of the work to be done.

Bids shall be in accordance with the specifications and other, contract documents on file in Facilities Department Office, phone: 541.842.3646, where copies may be obtained. All proposals shall be addressed to the attention of the Mark Button, Manager, Facilities & Purchasing, Medford School District 549C, 2801 Merriman Road, Medford, Oregon. Proposals shall be placed in an envelope which is sealed and which clearly states the name of the bidder, the date of the proposal opening, and appropriate wording to indicate definitely the nature of the contents. Do not send proposals by FAX. Proposals submitted via FAX or E-MAIL will not be accepted. The Medford School District is committed to providing equal opportunities to State of Oregon certified Minority, Disadvantaged and Women's Business Enterprises in contracting activities. (OAR 445-050- 0001 to 445-050-0090, State of Oregon). This contract is for public works subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (the Oregon Prevailing Wage Rate Law). All bid proposals must be accompanied by a proposal deposit in cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Medford School District. The Medford School District reserves the right to cancel this invitation or reject any and all proposals submitted or to waive any minor formalities of this call if in the judgment of the School Board the best interest of the District would be served. No proposer may withdraw his/her proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The Medford School District reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids or to waive any specification or requirement upon finding of the Medford School District that it is in the public interest to do so.
