Welcome to the Jackson Elementary School Web Page
We are so thankful to the patrons of the Medford School District. Our newly rebuilt school is everything we could have hoped for and more.
When the doors opened for pupils on January 7, students entered a building that has more of everything they need. There is more classroom space with new common areas for shared learning activities; a larger media center and greatly expanded access to computers; completely refurbished gymnasium and dining hall areas; and greater accessibility and comfort for everyone.
Our school staff helped to design this building, and I am confident it will make us even more effective as educators. We are a school that emphasizes strong programs in reading, math and writing. Most students are taught in small groups, using direct instruction programs that have been proven over and over again to be effective. Where extra student support is needed, we provide it.
We also encourage parental involvement. Our Parent Teacher Organization, PTO, invites you to join us as we offer special events such as field trips and a spring carnival.
Please call 541-842-3770 to arrange a tour or visit. We would like to show you our program and our wonderful new school.
Whether you are a current Jackson family or just visiting, we hope you will find the information you are looking for on this site. If not, just click the e-mail link on the navigation bar at the left and let us know how we can assist you.
