WILSON READING & MATH GROWTH!
This past year, Wilson experienced some very positive growth in our Oregon State assessed math & reading scores… [2012-2013].
Our math scores grew 5% higher than compared to the previous year, and our reading scores grew an impressive 13%. We attribute this success to our dedicated efforts to provide intervention supports to all students who need it; targeted intervention training to our teachers; and, our school-wide celebrations of reading achievement – in other words, Wilson kids are excited about their reading and are proud of their accomplishments!
However, Wilson’s success extends beyond just how we did on end-of-the-year tests scores…
We are most proud of the teachers, volunteers, and assistants who care so deeply about the success of each child, that they step far beyond the expected to find what works for each child, and providing for each and every learning need. From foundational learning skills to the arts, they are all included and infused into the educational development of each child.
