    1. Look at the context. 

    2. Hmmm… What kind of word is it?

    • Noun
    • Adjective
    • Verb  

    3. Look at the word structure.

    • Prefix
    • Suffix
    • Compound word
    • Base word 

    4. Predict a definition. 

    5. Try your definition.  Does it make sense?
