    What are the password requirements? 
    • Password for job opportunities at the Medford School District must be a minimum of 8 characters and must contain at least two special characters. Some examples of special characters are: #!@$&%
    Does the recruitment tool have a limited of minutes before I am timed out of the program?
    • Yes, after 30 minutes the system will automatically timeout. Data will not be saved, unless you save as you go and no prompt will appear prior to the timeout. Remember, save your work as you go to prevent the loss of data. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE
    I have submitted my online application. What happens next?
    • Applications for each posting will be screened by personnel in the Human Resources Department. Applicants who meet the requirements of the position(s) will be available for principals/supervisors to review. If selected for an interview you will be notified by email or phone to schedule a time to meet with the interview team. Please note: General Applications are not reviewed. If your application was not selected for an interview you will receive email notification. 
    How can I be ensured my application will be considered? 
    • To ensure your application is considered. It must be completed thoroughly and accurately. Teacher applications require a resume, 500 word writing sample indicating your views on effective instruction or classroom management and three letters of reference. Please note: General Applications are not reviewed.
    How will I learn of new job opportunities?
    • You can have notifications emailed to you automatically by clicking on the "Posting Notification" link and select by specific job types, school/site locations, and/or certification areas. 
    How will I be notified if I am selected for an interview?
    • You will be contacted by either email or telephone. It is important to keep you application current.
    If I am selected for an interview, how will I be notified whether or not I am being recommended for employment? 
    • You will be contacted by personnel from the Human Resources Department whether or not you have been recommended for the position. If selected, references, background criminal history and a drug screen will need to be completed. Once you have been cleared, a time will be scheduled for you to attend a new employee orientation.
    Would it help if I contacted the Human Resources Department?
    • By submitting a complete and thorough application, you have done all you can to put yourself in the best possible position to be considered for an interview.
    Work history is not saving. I keep getting frozen at the 360 spinning icon when trying to enter my work history. How can I get past this?
    • A few troubleshooting options are available:
             1. The issue seems to be related to Internet Explorer settings. Try to update the following settings in Internet Explorer:          Tools-   internet options- security- internet custom level. Scroll down the setting list, under miscellaneous check "display mixed
             content", enable, OK, Apply.
             2. You may want to try to save the application before opening the work history box.
             3. You also may want to try using Google Chrome as your internet browser.
             4. The Human Resources Computer Lab is available during normal business hours and you are invited to use our lab.
     
    How can I delete an attachment?
    • Unfortunately the system does not allow attachments to be deleted at this time. As we wait for this feature to be activated please include your most current attachment including the date so the hiring manager will know which document is the newest to review. Thank you for your patience as we wait for this feature to be fixed. 
    My college is not listing under the dropdown menu in Education. I've written in the box and still cannot submit my application.
    • You may select "OTHER" from the drop down menu, listed alphabetically.

    Licensed Applicant Questions

    Can I apply for a position even thought my teaching license is pending?
    • Yes, you can apply for posted positions if your teaching license is pending. However, you will need to have been awarded the license prior to beginning work. Please note: General Applications are not reviewed.
    Where would I find information on how to obtain an Oregon Teaching License?
    • The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission is the licensing agency for Oregon. You can reach them via email at www.oregon.gov/tspc/pages/index.aspx or 503-378-3586.
    I haven't received my letters of reference yet and the job posting is closing. What can I do?
    • Upload a document for each reference letter coming, stating letter in route and coming soon. Once you've received your letter please email Kim.D’Aena@medford.k12.or.us and she will be happy to upload it on the backend.
