Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Brink has been teaching at South Medford High School for a total of 7 years but was born in Ashland, Oregon. She teaches in the English department and went to college at Southern Oregon University. She is a former South Medford graduate, and I quote from her, "I bleed Panther blue so much, I decided to return to South to teach and coach." She has coached vollyball for 11 years, but just recently resigned so she could focus more on her family and being a new mom
Outside of school, Mrs. Brink loves to hang out with her daughter and husband, play and write music/poetry, coach volleyball, watch movies/Netflix, and go on hikes, raft, and go to the lake when the weather is nice -- "ONLY when the weather is nice," she says. She primarely loves outdoorsy stuff like watching her husband play golf, but she drives the golf cart. She also would like to add that, "My daughter, EmJae is 16 months old. I’m married to my amazing hubbs, Travis, and I have a hyperactive 120 pound dog named Sunnie, and a 13-year old cat with no tail and extra thumbs named Tiger Woods." That's a fun household i bet!
So we asked Mrs. Brink some silly questions and these were her answers;
-What super power, if any, would you choose and why?
-If you could be a cereal mascot on a cereal box, who would you be?
The bee on the Honey Nut Cheerios box -- because she can fly.
-What goes on your Subway sandwich?
Turkey, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, spicy things, AVOCADO -- always -- on everything
-What is your favorite food?
Anything from Bambu
Mrs. Brink loves to make sure each and every one of her students feels loved and welcomed by her. She enjoys bringing humor into her classroom to make learning different. She tends to create an accepting learning environment so that every student loves coming to her class. And as a lot of us already know, she brings pistachios with her, as well as her A game
