Title II-A Program Description

  • The purpose of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Title II-A funding is to provide grants to State educational agencies, local educational agencies, State agencies for higher education, and eligible partnerships in order to increase student academic achievement by increasing the number of highly qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators in schools and classrooms. Equitable Services

  • ESEA includes separate provisions governing equitable services for eligible Private and Non-Profit school students, teachers and other educational personnel, and families. The term equitable services refers to the process of providing students, teachers, staff and families at eligible Private and Non-Profit Schools fair access to federally funded education programs and services, as appropriate.
