Panther Camp

Panther Camp is an excellent opportunity to prepare incoming freshmen for their first year of high school and ensure that it is a successful and positive experience.

Each summer, South Medford HS offers Panther Camp to incoming 9th-grade students.  Panther Camp teachers move students to accrue high school credit (.50 elective credit is available for attending and participating), learn leadership and transition skills, and be ahead on their core coursework that students will see within the first few class sessions.  By participating in this opportunity, your student will walk onto campus for the first day of school confident, proud, and know they are part of the Panther Family.

    Panther Camp is 8:00 am-12:30 pm, Mon-Fri, starting 8/3 and ending 8/14.

    Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Bussing is provided for students who are not within the 1-mile walking radius from SMHS (Panther Camp teachers will be working with First Student in August to plan the bus routes).

Panther Camp is not mandatory; however, students will get .5 elective credit for participating and meeting the requirements.

Subjects: English, math, science, and social studies.
