Small Learning Communities (SLC)
All freshmen entering South Medford High School will be enrolled in our Freshman Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for students to be in a personalized Small Learning Community. South Medford High School is offering all sophomores a choice in Small Learning Communities (SLC's) to enhance their required studies. Each freshman will select an SLC in the spring of their freshman year that matches their interest. Please be advised that your student may not receive their first choice.
Small Learning Communities at the sophomore, junior, and senior-level include BACH (Bridging the Arts, Communication, and Humanities), CHAMPS (Community Health and Medical Professions School), Discovery (Business, Environment, Service and Technology school), and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). For more detailed descriptions of each SLC, please check out their respective web pages.
