Child Care Options

  • September 18, 2020

The Medford School District (MSD), in collaboration with the Rogue Valley YMCA and Kid Time is offering child care options to Medford School District families during MSD Connects at Home (comprehensive distance learning). The attached options are now available to families.

Financial assistance is available and most families will pay $200 a month or less per student, depending on a family’s income and the hours they enroll. Days, times, age groups and prices will adjust over time as in-person instruction begins. MSD, Kid Time, and the YMCA will revisit and adjust schedules every six weeks or as needed, should the district move to hybrid or in-person learning.

Programs will follow state guidelines for COVID-19 prevention, including small groups that don’t mix, required face coverings for staff and students, physical distancing, and routine cleaning and disinfecting. Students will be offered educational support to stay on track with MSD Connects at Home. Meals included!

The Medford School District is partnering with several local child care providers to offer convenient child care to MSD staff and families by opening child care centers for school-aged children in some of our MSD schools. We hope that providing you with these resources is a help in these uncertain times. Please note: the child care options are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and the providers have limited space. For more information, please reach out directly to the child care providers.
