MSD Title I-A School Programs

Per the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, school districts must allocate Title I-A funding to all schools above 75% poverty.  Schools qualify as either a Schoolwide or Targeted-Assisted Program.

Each Title I-A Program has its own decision-making process.  Families, caregivers, community members, teachers, and other staff decide what steps are necessary to help all students meet high state standards.  There is a great deal of local decision-making and flexibility. Families can request information regarding the highly qualified status of their child’s teacher.
