Title II-A Program
Title II-A funding is provided to increase student academic achievement by increasing the number of highly qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators in schools and classrooms.
Title II-A is based upon three important ideas:
- Great teachers and principals matter. Improved outcomes for students require a diverse cohort of well-prepared educators.
- Educators need intentional support. Systems of support across the career continuum are key to attracting, placing and retaining effective educators.
- All students deserve equity of opportunity. Students from families experiencing poverty and historically underserved students must be provided with equal access to effective educators.
Equitable Services Programs
Titles IA and Title VIII of ESSA mandates provisions for private school students to receive access to equitable services for Title IA, IC, IIA, IIIA, IVA, and IVB.
If you think your private, non-profit school qualifies for this funding, please see our Equitable Services page.
