REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 25-00-19

Notice is hereby given that bids will be accepted by the Medford School District in the Purchasing Office, located at 900 Kenyon Street, Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m. PDT, Thursday, March 27, 2025.  An optional pre-proposal meeting and site visit will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. PST.  The starting point for this meeting will be in the front office at South Medford High School, located at 1551 Cunningham Avenue, Medford, OR 97501.

The Medford School District 549C (District) is seeking written proposals. Pursuant to state and federal law, Medford School District 549C, Local Educational Agency (hereafter called the LEA) participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Programs (SFSP), may contract with a food service management company (FSMC) to operate eligible school food services.  The administration of all USDA Child Nutrition Programs is the responsibility of the Oregon Department of Education (hereafter called the Department). All terms and conditions of procurement and contracting are subject to Oregon Administrative Rules 581, Division 51, as applicable.

This RFP is intended to provide FSMCs with the opportunity to present their qualifications and approach clearly and succinctly, while providing the LEA with comparable information from each proposer.  The successful FSMC will be required to enter into the Oregon Department of Education standard form agreement titled “LEA-FSMC Contract”.  The contract awarded will be a fixed price contract.

The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders, (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district, (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive an informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever its is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in it’s best interest.

Notice is hereby given that proposals will be accepted by the Medford School District at the Purchasing Office, located at 900 Kenyon St., Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Thursday March 27, 2025.

The District is seeking to select a Professional of Record (an Architect/Engineer team) to provide design services for the gymnasium rebuild at North Medford High School (NMHS).  The selected firm will be expected to start immediately after award of contract and receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The District reserves the right to reject any Proposal response not in compliance with all prescribed public procedures and requirements and to waive informalities in this Request for Proposals response process.

There will be an optional pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at 1900 N. Keene Way Medford, OR 97504. Please meet in the student parking lot on the north side of the campus.  Enter from Roberts Road to Tornado Alley.  Note that there will not be additional opportunities for firms to visit the site.

RFP 25-01-26 Emergency NMHS Weatherproofing Post-Demo

Notice is hereby given that proposals will be accepted in-person or via email by the Medford School District for the Emergency NMHS Gym weatherproofing post-demolition project on March 19, 2025 no later than 2:00 p.m.   The project will be awarded to one contractor based on multiple factors. 

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at 1900 N. Keene Way Medford, OR 97504. Please meet in the student parking lot on the north side of the campus.  Enter from Roberts Road to Tornado Alley.  Note that there will not be additional opportunities for firms to visit the site.  

SCOPE

The purpose and intent of this RFP is to establish a contract with one qualified source to weatherproof the remaining exposed sections of the gym at North Medford High School. 

Proposals will be evaluated under these criteria:

  • Quality of weather barrier proposed (25 Points)
  • Prices; include General Conditions costs in profit and overhead price, per diem rate, and percentage of mark up on labor and materials (30 Points)
  • Availability to start work (20 Points)
  • Past experience with similar projects – ideally three examples (25 Points)

The Medford School District will handle all permitting for this project.
