ORS 279C.335 (1) requires, with certain exceptions, that all Public Improvement contracts be based on competitive bids and, under ORS 279C.375, awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. ORS 279C.335 (2) permits the Local Contract Review Board, which in this case is the Medford School District 549c School Board, to grant, under certain conditions, specific exemptions from the requirement for competitive bidding upon the approval of specified findings.

OAR 137-049-0620 (1), allows the Local Contract Review Board to exempt a Public Improvement contract from the requirements to be competitively bid, provided written findings supporting the use of non-competitive bid process show compliance with OAR 137-049-0600 to 137-049-0690 and applicable statues.

The hearing for review of these findings will be held at 5:30 PM on April 25, 2024 at Oakdale Middle School in the Multi-Purpose Room, 815 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford, OR 97501, as published in the public notice in the Daily Courier and the Daily Journal of Commerce on April 10, 2024.

Notice is hereby given that bids for Two (2) Outdoor Eating Spaces will be accepted by the Medford School District at the Facilities Department, located at 900 Kenyon St., Medford, OR 97501 no later than 2:00 p.m. on April 17, 2024.
An optional pre-bid meeting will begin at Oak Grove Elementary School on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.  Please meet in front of the gate that leads to the fields.

The purpose and intent of this Invitation to Bid is to obtain bids from qualified contractors to supply and install Two (2) Outdoor Eating Spaces approximately 40’ x 60’ each, per MSD specifications and design. The two (2) sites will be Oak Grove Elementary School and Hoover Elementary School. For more details please see our ITB.  
Construction of the two structures and related sitework must be completed no later than August 9, 2024.

Medford School District 549C (District) is seeking written proposals from Community Based Organizations to provide the following areas of support for summer programs:  Enrichment activities and/or recreational activities including field trips to students grades K-12; youth development activities (including hands-on and social emotional learning) to students grades K-12; and a summer enrichment program for Tag camp (grades 3-5) that delivers hands-on activities that encourage divergent thinking and open ended engagement in creative problem solving.  Medford School District Summer programs will run June 17 through July 11 and August 5 through August 15. These activities are intended to enhance and/or complement summer programs. Please see RFP for more details.  

This will be a multiple vendor award.

All work associated with this project is eligible for E-Rate funding.  Any eligible Contractor must meet all E-Rate qualifications and have an E-Rate provider number (SPIN).

In April of 2023, the Medford School District (the “District”) was awarded a Seismic Rehabilitation Grant through the Infrastructure Finance Authority: Business Oregon.  As part of this grant, preliminary rehabilitation feasibility reports and cost estimates shall be used to ensure the project is in compliance with grant requirements.  These documents will be included in the RFP.

The Medford School District 549C (Owner) solicits proposals for a construction firm interested in providing Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) services, as that term is defined in ORS 279C.332(3), for the NMHS Gym Seismic Retrofit. 

There will be a pre-bid meeting on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 3:30 a.m. at North Medford High School. Please meet in front of the school at the front gates.

Construction is anticipated to start in June of 2024.  Students return on August 28, 2024. Select work may be performed during the school year, but it must not impact students or staff.
