Notice is hereby given that proposals will be accepted by the Medford School District at the Purchasing Office, located at 900 Kenyon St., Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

The District is seeking to select a Professional of Record (either an Architect or an Engineer) to provide the Seismic Design Services (comprehensive seismic improvement of gymnasium, cafeteria and classroom buildings) for Griffin Creek Elementary School.

The total value of the construction budget is anticipated to be approximately $1.8 million, funded by a Seismic Rehabilitation Grant. The selected firm will be expected to start immediately after award of contract and receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The District reserves the right to reject any Proposal response not in compliance with all prescribed public procedures and requirements and to waive informalities in this Request for Proposals response process.

There will be an optional pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at 2430 Griffin Creek Road, Medford, OR 97501. Please meet in front of the school by the office doors for entry.  Note that there will not be additional opportunities for firms to visit the site between November 6 and November 20, 2024.

The District intends to use the typical Construction Manager/General Contractor procurement method for this project.  Pre-Design/Schematic Design would begin immediately upon award to produce the design documents needed for a CM/GC selection process no later than February 1, 2025.  

Construction is anticipated to start June 9, 2025, with the Project being substantially completed by August 15, 2025.

The Medford School District 549c is seeking written proposals from qualified vendors for the design and creation of signage and other marketing materials to be used throughout the district. The vendor will use already existing District branding elements to create different types of signs and other marketing materials for the District. The selected vendor may also assist the District to hang signs.

The vendor should be fully qualified to work and be prepared to provide services and support in the areas listed for a minimum of three (3) years with an option to extend in additional one (1) year increments at the District’s discretion.

Notice is hereby given that proposals will be accepted by the Medford School District at 900 Kenyon Street, Medford, OR 97501 in the Purchasing office, for the Warehouse Storage Building project at 750 N. Columbus Avenue, Medford, OR 97501.  Bids must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.  There will be an optional walk-through Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. at the project location.  Enter on the south side of the property on Priddy Street.

The purpose and intent of this RFP is to establish firm fixed price contract with one qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the project.  The projects consists supplying and installing an enclosed 12 gauge metal storage structure measuring approximately 20’ x 80’ with an eve height of 12’ and built on a 4” slab base with a 8” deep x 16” wide thickened edge on the west side. Slab will be poured over 4” of compacted 3/4”minus and will include a vapor barrier and typical #4 rebar 24” O.C.  The building should include vapor barriers at the walls and roofs.  All four sides will be enclosed and the west-facing wall will have four - 14’ x 10’ roll up doors with a single man-door on one of the 20’ ends.

Contractor will provide trenching for district supplied electrical conduit. The District will provide and install lighting and power outlets to the building.

ORS 279C.335 (2) permits the Local Contract Review Board, which in this case is the Medford School District 549c School Board, to grant, under certain conditions, specific exemptions from the requirement for competitive bidding upon the approval of specified findings.

OAR 137-049-0620 (1), allows the Local Contract Review Board to exempt a Public Improvement contract from the requirements to be competitively bid, provided written findings supporting the use of non-competitive bid process show compliance with OAR 137-049-0600 to 137-049-0690 and applicable statues.

In April of 2023, the Medford School District (the “District”) was awarded a Seismic Rehabilitation Grant through the Infrastructure Finance Authority: Business Oregon.  As part of this grant, preliminary rehabilitation feasibility reports and cost estimates shall be used to ensure the project is in compliance with grant requirements.  These documents will be included in the RFP.

The Medford School District 549C (Owner) solicits proposals for a construction firm interested in providing Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) services, as that term is defined in ORS 279C.332(3), for the NMHS Gym Seismic Retrofit. 

There will be a pre-bid meeting on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 3:30 a.m. at North Medford High School. Please meet in front of the school at the front gates.

Construction is anticipated to start in June of 2024.  Students return on August 28, 2024. Select work may be performed during the school year, but it must not impact students or staff.
