REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 25-00-12

Notice is hereby given that proposals will be accepted by the Medford School District at 900 Kenyon Street, Medford, OR 97501 in the Purchasing office, for the Warehouse Storage Building project at 750 N. Columbus Avenue, Medford, OR 97501.  Bids must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.  There will be an optional walk-through Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. at the project location.  Enter on the south side of the property on Priddy Street.

The purpose and intent of this RFP is to establish firm fixed price contract with one qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the project.  The projects consists supplying and installing an enclosed 12 gauge metal storage structure measuring approximately 20’ x 80’ with an eve height of 12’ and built on a 4” slab base with a 8” deep x 16” wide thickened edge on the west side. Slab will be poured over 4” of compacted 3/4”minus and will include a vapor barrier and typical #4 rebar 24” O.C.  The building should include vapor barriers at the walls and roofs.  All four sides will be enclosed and the west-facing wall will have four - 14’ x 10’ roll up doors with a single man-door on one of the 20’ ends.

Contractor will provide trenching for district supplied electrical conduit. The District will provide and install lighting and power outlets to the building.

The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders, (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district, and (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive an informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest.
