REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 25-00-19
Notice is hereby given that bids will be accepted by the Medford School District in the Purchasing Office, located at 900 Kenyon Street, Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m. PDT, Thursday, March 27, 2025. An optional pre-proposal meeting and site visit will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. PST. The starting point for this meeting will be in the front office at South Medford High School, located at 1551 Cunningham Avenue, Medford, OR 97501.
The Medford School District 549C (District) is seeking written proposals. Pursuant to state and federal law, Medford School District 549C, Local Educational Agency (hereafter called the LEA) participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Programs (SFSP), may contract with a food service management company (FSMC) to operate eligible school food services. The administration of all USDA Child Nutrition Programs is the responsibility of the Oregon Department of Education (hereafter called the Department). All terms and conditions of procurement and contracting are subject to Oregon Administrative Rules 581, Division 51, as applicable.
This RFP is intended to provide FSMCs with the opportunity to present their qualifications and approach clearly and succinctly, while providing the LEA with comparable information from each proposer. The successful FSMC will be required to enter into the Oregon Department of Education standard form agreement titled “LEA-FSMC Contract”. The contract awarded will be a fixed price contract.

The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders, (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district, (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive an informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever its is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in it’s best interest.
