Curriculum Unit Assessments

Our focus within our units of study is to foster more critical thinking for students in order to help them use their skills across content areas and throughout their lives, and our assessments have become more aligned with these goals as they require tasks that are performanced-based, multi-layered outcomes, as opposed to multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank prompts that can limit students' demonstration of deeper understanding.  The sky is the limit with students' illustration of learning.

District developed curriculum allows for commonly aligned assessments across subjects, grades and schools. Data from these assessments guide the district in addressing areas of focus, achievement gaps and celebrating strengths. Grade level teams utilize this data to inform their instruction and student needs.
