Lone Pine Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
Facebook: Lone Pine Elementary PTO
Building a strong relationship between parents and educators is the main goal of Lone Pine’s PTO. In working toward this goal, the PTO helps support teachers’ efforts to provide the best academic, physical and social opportunities for each child at Lone Pine Elementary.
Through fundraisers the PTO provides funds for educational opportunities that would not be made available through normal school funding. These funds support the purchase of computers, software, audio-visual and classroom supplies, curriculum enhancement programs as well as presentations by various organizations including Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), the Rogue Valley Symphony, and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The PTO also sponsors fun family events that include the Fall Fair, family dance and movie nights, as well as engineering and math related curriculum nights.
The Lone Pine PTO is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and has monthly meetings for all parents to attend. In the 2018-19 school year, our meetings will be the 2nd Thursday of each month at 3:30 pm in the Media Center. We invite all parents to attend and learn about all the PTO does for Lone and how you can help. Children are welcome to attend with you!
Everything our PTO accomplishes is because of the hard work of parents just like you. Without you and your willingness to volunteer and support Lone Pine, we simply couldn’t provide many of the programs and activities that have come to define Lone Pine’s school community. We thank you for giving your time to Lone Pine and look forward to working with you!
