Culinary Arts (Cooking)
Welcome to Cooking! In this afterschool club, student's will be introduced to culinary basics such as food safety and sanitation, kitchen safety, cooking terms, proper use of kitchen tools/equipment, how to measure ingredients properly, interpreting recipes, and basic food preparation skills. They will be cooking and enjoying the food that they and their kitchen team prepare! Through hands-on cooking labs with their team, they will be learning not only culinary basics, but developing their leadership skills, communication skills, and employability skills. They will be making a variety of baked items as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.
