Shelby Moffitt, Principal

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!  Washington is a great place to be, it's "where every kid counts!" 

I have been an educator for 22 years, 20 here in Medford. I have taught multiple grade levels and was most recently the Principal of Medford Online Academy. During my time as an educator, I received my Reading Specialist Endorsement and I became a National Board Certified Teacher. I have served on multiple committees throughout the school district. I am also a parent of 2 Medford School District students. 

In all my roles in education I have always kept students at the center of everything I do. It is my firm belief all students have strengths and wonderful stories to tell. I firmly believe that ALL ARE LEARNING AND LEARNING IS FOR ALL. At Washington we embrace all options are open and hopeful, students are known, students are challenged, and all students are inspired to achieve their potential. We believe in building relationships and ensuring students feel a sense of belonging to our school community.
