• Hedrick’s self-contained maps classroom provides exciting learning activities for students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. In addition to core curriculum in Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Science, students participate in a variety of class projects, such as recycling, cooking, and fund-raising activities. The teacher prepares an Individualized Education Program for each student annually, which guides academic instruction, pre-vocational training, and practice in daily living skills. Students are mainstreamed into the whole school program whenever appropriate.
