Coaches

Coaching in MSD will challenge, strengthen, and broaden your perspectives. Coaches can have a significant impact on the development of our students. It's more than sports. Coaches help students unlock their potential.

Become part of our coaching staff. Coaching positions include but are not limited to, high school and middle school head coaches and assistant coaches.

Coaches oversee the growth and development of student-athletes by focusing on fundamental skills. We are looking for passionate coaches with strong emotional and cultural intelligence who are willing to develop strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and our greater Medford community. We are aligned with the OSAA, offer a full entrée of sports throughout our three high school seasons and four middle school seasons, and our teams are highly competitive at both the conference and state level.  Come and join our coaching staff today!

Qualifications

In the state of Oregon, coaches are required to complete coaching certifications.

Middle school coaches must complete a concussion in sports training annually and an anabolic steroid and performance-enhancing substances training every four years.

High school coaches are required to complete additional certifications as specified by the OSAA (Coaches Requirements).  The District also requires that coaches complete a first-aid training course suitable for two years.  The Medford School District offers this course to coaches, free of charge, monthly, and it also includes hands-on CPR and AED training.  The District also provides vehicle licensing for Type 10 and Type 20 vehicles.
