Marshals

Complementing our School Resource Officer (SRO) program is the MSD School Marshal program.

School Marshals are plain clothed, Medford Police Department (MPD) officers that provide security in our elementary schools.  

In addition to providing security and incident response, our Marshals are also trained in school security assessments.   We operate in a constant state of assessment to ensure site leadership is informed, best practices are utilized and that security subject matter experts are available on site to train staff, reinforce standards, secure the site and respond to incidents.

MSD is one of a few Districts that have invested in developing a School Marshal program to make sure all sites have a security presence.
