With the possibility of winter weather on the way, we want to make you aware of our process for notifying you in the event of a weather-related school closure or delay.
Our district staff will keep a close eye on the weather and if it looks like snow or ice will affect transportation, the district and contracted bus company, First Student, will send drivers out on the roads in the early morning hours.
If district and bus company drivers determine the roads are unsafe, the superintendent will make the decision to delay or close school. Please know that keeping students in school is a priority, but not at the risk of student and staff safety.
District officials will make the decision to close school by 5:30 am on the affected day, at which point you will be notified via phone and/or text as well as email. The delivery mechanism depends on the information you have on file with your school. The information will also be posted to our website, social media accounts, and distributed to local news outlets.
Please double-check with your school to make sure they have up to date contact information for you.
