Bryan Cid-Hogan (Energy Conservation Specialist) and Andy Chasteen (Mechanical Supervisor) from the facilities team partnered with Energy Trust of Oregon and JCI to complete upgrades on HVAC and control systems at Abe Lincoln and Hoover Elementary Schools and Hedrick and McLoughlin Middle Schools. This significant effort resulted in schools having more effective and more efficient HVAC systems. In addition to the operating efficiency savings for years to come, Energy Trust of Oregon incentivized the projects and returned nearly $100,000 back to the school district.
“This was truly a great effort by everyone involved. They worked tirelessly to complete these projects in some tough conditions. They were very complex and challenging at times, but this is really a testament to their hard work and dedication to excellence. It is a great example of a strong partnership between the Medford School District, Energy Trust of Oregon and our local contractors and the positive impact it can have on the education environment.” - Ron Havniear, Support Services / Facilities Manager
