FAQs
What is this program?
It is a program of choice for existing homeschooled students or families who prefer a homeschool experience. The goal is to support parents as the lead teacher.
Where is this program?
This program will be housed at an existing school with space. Location will be announced in February!
What do families receive?
- An individualized learning plan designed together with a learning coach and parent.
- A flexible schedule that a parent can design with the learning coach (could be 100% at home with virtual check-ins, or part-time at school to access resources, services, specialists.)
- All instructional resources will be provided.
When do students or families come to campus in person?
This is determined by the schedule the family chooses. They would have designated times that they could access the playground, library, meeting spaces with other parents, specialized instruction by a specialist, or to access an elective class.
Would families have an opportunity to interact with other families in the program?
Yes, these students may be attending small classes together, going on field trips or attending organized events as a program.
Even though this is not a virtual program, can a parent access the digital instructional resources?
We are currently in the process of building a list of resources. There will be some digital options as well as consumable supplies. If families opt for a Chromebook, there are several resources available to students to access.
How will we monitor students’ progress?
At a minimum, quarterly assessments are given along with opportunities each quarter to meet with the Learning Coach to review progress. The Learning Coach will be available during the week at designated times as well.
